Metolius GripSaver is an effective accessory for rehab, prevention of grip-related injuries, and improving hand strength.
Designed by doctors to help balance the muscles of the hand, wrist and forearm, the GripSaver is perfect for injury rehab or for conditioning specifically for grip strength events.
The accessory has finger loops which will allow you to comfortably position of hand around the ball, and the loops will then provide resistance against the fingers.
For weakened and damaged hand or wrist muscles, the GripSaver is perfect for rebuilding the stamina of the muscles, as the foam ball prevents your fingers coming too close together.
In order to provide progression, Metolius supply three levels of difficulties.
- Soft Grip – Blue
- Regular Grip – Red
- Hard Grip – Orange
How to use a GripSaver:
Start with the foam ball in the palm of your hand, and position so that the single loop is inline with your thumb. Once you are ready attached the thumb loop leaving the four loops at the top ready to insert your fingers.
Once all loops are in use, cup the ball gently before forcing open your hand creating tension through the elastic loops. The ball will act as a stabiliser and prevent any over extensions.
When you are ready to advance instead of starting by cupping the ball, you can start by squeezing the ball and then extending out. This will provide a fuller range of motion.
